Where do I even start? I've taken a few days to decompress, reflect and gather the right words, and here they are... Thank you.
Sunday night was such a cathartic, beautiful and perfect curtain closer for 2023 - it really had it all; 23 song submissions with 4 collaborations, lovely words shared by all and an awards presentation to crown the cherry on top of the cake.
I implore all of you to listen to these songs in their entirety (even if you're not into Christmas songs) as they're all really great. Some super unique, some super tongue in cheek and some just absolutely brilliant that need releasing into the outside world.
Here they are: https://www.comuso.co.uk/comusoplayer-christmas-2023
And yes - that's my dog enjoying Christmas in all her glory.
For those of you who couldn't attend, during our 'reflections' some kind words were shared by both camp COMUSO & our members - these will now be shared on 'The Writers Lounge' so do take the time to look these over and maybe share some reflections of your own.
And now for the list of winners from this years 2023 COMUSO Music Awards:
MVP - Francis Coop

Asskicker of the year - Pete Youngman
Lyricist of the year - Will Lloyd
Members Choice - Jake Tee

Anyway, I've rambled on a fair bit, so let's round things off by saying one last thank you to you. Whoever you are, if you're reading this, you're taking an interest in COMUSO and that's something pretty special to me. Thank you for being so patient whilst I fumble through 2023, teaching myself how to create a website and sometimes falling on my sword. Thank you to every songwriter who's submitted a song, attended a listening party or given advice & guidance within the Writers Lounge. Thank you to anyone who's taken an interest but hasn't found the time, courage or energy to start being active yet (there's always 2024).
Thank you everyone - what a great frickin year.
